Passed peacefully away at Pte. Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion, Carbonear on Sunday, June 16, 2019, Sophie M. Snow of Freshwater, Carbonear, age 92 years. Predeceased by husband: Donald; infant son: George; son: Gerald; parents: John Sam and Mary Ellen Rose; brothers: Jehu, George (Minie), Wallace, and Oscar (Lila); sister: Eliza (Norman). Leaving to mourn, one son: Wallace (Ruby), Freshwater, Carbonear; daughter-in-law: Joyce, Freshwater, Carbonear; four grandchildren: Wally (Marlene), Barry (Danita), Jerry (Melanie), and Michael (Jessica); five great-grandchildren: Justin (Melanie), Cailey, Mitchell, Kaitlyn, and Tyler; sisters-in-law: Aseneth Rose, Carbonear, Lillian Rose, Salmon Cove, Phyllis (Graham, deceased) Butt, Freshwater, Carbonear, and Dulcie (Gerald, deceased) Snow, Victoria; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Monday, 2:30 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Tuesday, June 18 at 2:00 p.m. from the United Church, Freshwater, Carbonear. Interment in the United Cemetery, Freshwater, Carbonear.
