Passed peacefully away at Chancellor Park Nursing Home, St. John's on Saturday, July 6, 2019, Ruth Crowe of Harbour Grace, age 84 years. Predeceased by husband: Garth; parents: Chesley and Marjorie Butt; sisters: Irene (Ron) Geiler and Beth (Louis) Schultz; brothers: Arthur Butt and Bertram Butt; sister-in-law: Norma Butt. Leaving to mourn, three daughters: Brenda Ash, St. John’s, Karen (Victor) Noseworthy, Gander, and Jennifer (Phillip) Chaulker, Yellowknife, NWT; one son: Laurie (Carol), Paradise; seven grandchildren: Sarah (Brandon), Robyn, Sophia, Eric, Heather (Bobby), Andrew (Nicole), and Justin; four great-grandchildren: Garrett, Charlotte, Lily, and Lauren; one brother: Eric (Norma) Butt, Vancouver, BC; sister-in-law: Rita Butt, Edmonton, AB; also a number of other relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place. Funeral service to take place on Tuesday, July 9 at 11:00 a.m. from Noel's Funeral Home and Memorial Chapel, Water Street, Carbonear. Inurnment in Bethany United Church Cemetery, Carbonear. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to the Janeway Children’s Hospital, 300 Prince Philip Drive, St. John’s, NL, A1B 3V6.
