Obituary of Lillian Rhoda (Penney) Stice
Lillian Rhoda (Penney) Stice passed peacefully away with family members at her side on November 10, 2018, in Modesto, California. She was born on November 26, 1942 in Carbonear, NL to Samuel and Lucy Penney and was the second of twelve children. Her family remembers her as a loving, caring and devoted wife, mother, stepmother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and great-aunt. Predeceased by her loving husband: Francis Howard Stice; parents: Samuel and Lucy Penney; sisters: May and Joan; step-daughter: Sharon and step-son: Richard. Leaving to mourn, three sons: Frank, Howard and Anthony; three step-children: Karen, Wanda and Annette; five grandchildren: Melissa, Ryan, Darin, Joshua and Patrick; five great-grandchildren: Haley, Hayden, Nevaeh, Nayomi and Ava; five sisters: Florence (Kevin) Janes, Frances (Robert) Pike, Goldie (Bruce) Baker, Lois (Eldrid) Dean and Judy (Denis) Mulloy; four brothers: Silas (Linda), Calvin (Audrey), Paul, and Wade; brother-in-law: Adolph Gosse; brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Richard and Eva Stice, sister-in-law: Patty Whitaker; as well as many other family members and friends. Heartfelt thank-you to doctors, nurses, all healthcare providers, Community Hospice staff and volunteers. The family will receive relatives and friends at Noel’s Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Friday, July 12 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Saturday, July 13 at 11:00 a.m. from Noel’s Memorial Chapel, Carbonear. Inurnment in Bethel Pentecostal Cemetery, Victoria. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Lillian may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
