Passed peacefully away at the Pte. Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion, Carbonear on Thursday, July 11, 2019, Wm. Thomas Gillingham of Lower Island Cove, age 88 years. Predeceased by parents: Eli and Violet; brothers: Maxwell and Sam; sisters: Effie Moores, Florence Fagner, Mary Garland, and Susie Baggett. Leaving to mourn, wife: Gertie; two sons: Gerald, Northern Bay and Bruce, Lower Island Cove; four grandchildren: Bruce Jr., Colin, Jason, and Erin; three great-grandchildren: Brayden, Logan, and Chance; brother-in-law: Harold Baggett, ON; sister-in-law: Fannie Fagner, Carbonear; also a large number of other relatives and friends. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Salvation Army Citadel, Lower Island Cove on Saturday, 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Sunday, July 14 at 2:00 p.m. from the Salvation Army Citadel, Lower Island Cove. Inurnment in the Salvation Army Cemetery, Lower Island Cove.  In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Salvation Army Cemetery Fund, PO Box 55, Lower Island Cove, NL, A0A 2W0.
