Obituary of Brendan Thomey

Passed peacefully away after a brief illness at the Pte. Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion, Carbonear on Monday, July 15, 2019, Brendan Thomey of Harbour Grace, age 92 years. Predeceased by wife: Helen; parents: Arthur and Mary; brothers: Ron (Bride), Mike (Ellen), Jim (Kay), Mark (Patricia), and John; sisters: Mary (Jim) Elkin, Joan and Bill Doran and Camilla. Leaving to mourn, five daughters: Patricia (Allan) Pilgrim, Cochrane, AB, Phil (Joe) Hunt, Harbour Grace, Helen (Sylvain) Methot, Nova Scotia, Brenda (Lloyd) Reid, and Linda Laing (Bruce), both of Harbour Grace; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; sister-in-law: Lillian Thomey, Harbour Grace; also a number of other relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive relatives and friends at Noel's Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace on Thursday, 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Friday, July 19 at 11:00 a.m. from Noel's Funeral Home, Harbour Grace. Inurnment to take place in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Harbour Grace.  In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the T.C.P. Health Foundation, 86 Highroad South, Carbonear, NL, A1Y 1A4.
