Obituary of Charles Joseph Maxwell Bath
The family of the late Charles Joseph ‘Joe’ Maxwell Bath of Westlock, Alberta, formerly of Newfoundland are saddened to announce his passing on December 26th, 2018 following a brief illness, aged 69 years. Predeceased by his father Cst. Joseph Bath, mother Marguerite Bath Gillard (Parsons), step-father Chesley Gillard, sister Rita Hann, brother Wilfred Bath, brothers-in-law Joseph White and Eric Pye, nephews Cpl. Craig Pye RCMP and Duane Mark Pye. Joe was born in Twillingate and grew up in Harbour Grace. He graduated with Bachelors and Masters Degrees from Memorial University of Newfoundland and had a long and varied career as a counselor and teacher in both Newfoundland and Alberta. Leaving to mourn, his son Zachary (wife Selina and their children Sophia and Emerson), Halifax, NS; daughter Hayley (husband Bruce Billard and their children Meryl and Judy), Port aux Basques; son Charles (his son Lincoln), Fort MacMurray AB; sisters Goldie White, Twillingate, Pat Pye, Halifax, NS, Margo Bath (Alan), Oshawa ON; brothers David Bath (Marylou), Riverview, NB, Kai Bath, Carbonear; sister-in-law Joan Bath, Harbour Grace and their families, the mother of his children Linda Hayley Bath, Bonavista, as well as many other relatives and friends. The family will receive relatives and friends for a visitation/reception on Saturday, August 3 from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. at Noel's Funeral Home, Harbour Grace. Funeral service to take place at 2:00 p.m. at Noel’s Funeral Home, Harbour Grace. Inurnment at the United Church Cemetery, Harbour Grace immediately following the service. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Joe's memory may be made to the following registered non-profit organizations. Joe (Joey) will always be remembered for his hearty laugh, wry humour, winning smile and love of the Beatles.
