Obituary of Marilyn Purcell

Passed away at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's on Tuesday, August 6, 2019, Marilyn Purcell of Harbour Grace, age 66 years. Predeceased by parents: William and Lucy Newman. Leaving to mourn, husband: Richard; daughter: Marlena, St. John’s, son: Pearce (Stephen Keough), Mount Pearl; four brothers: Norm (Judy) Newman and Roger (April) Newman, both of Bell Island, Billy (Phyllis) Newman, Harbour Grace South, and Nelson Newman, Torbay; three sisters: Lilly (Gord) Gosse and Bev (Mike) Maloney, both of Bell Island, and Mary Shawnoo, Sarnia, ON; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place. Visitation to be held at Noel's Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace on Thursday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. There will be no funeral service. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre, 300 Prince Philip Drive, St. John’s, NL, A1B 3V6.
