Obituary of Jennie Viola Jenkins

Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Saturday, August 17, 2019, Jennie Viola Jenkins of Western Bay, age 90 years. Predeceased by husband: Albert; son: Chris; parents: Clarence and Lillian Hollett; mother-in-law: Gertrude Jenkins; sisters-in-law: Lillian Jenkins 'Aunt Dolly', Sarah Sellars, and Claudine Roberts; brothers-in-law: Eric Mansfield, Manford Koehn, Ivan Hayes, Frank Davis, Howard Roberts, and Everett Sellars. Leaving to mourn, three daughters: Donna (Luke) Delaney, Jackie (Terry) Halliday, and Kim (Terry) Whalen; three sons: Carl (Linda), David (Sherry), and Keith (Anna); daughter-in-law: Leona Jenkins; twelve grandchildren: Norman (Darlene), Lisa (Perry), Terry (Robin), Angie (Darryl), Matthew (Crystal), Todd (Renee), Mark (Crystal), Adam (Amy), Jason, Brian, Ryan, and Tristen; fifteen great-grandchildren: Brady, Haley, Kaitlin, Blake, Matthew, Madison, Autumn, Kyle, Cole, Keira, Rowan, Alexander, Merriam, Chesley, and Emma Jane; one great-great-grandchild: Brock; four sisters: Doris Mansfield, Vivian (Carlo) Bilancione, Shirley Koehn, and Ruby Hayes; sisters-in-law: Myrtle Warren (Bud) and Mary Davis; longtime friends: Frank and Dot Bursey; also a large number of other relatives and friends. The family will receive relatives and friends at Noel's Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay on Monday, 2:30 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Tuesday, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Wednesday, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Wednesday, August 21 at 2:00 p.m. from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Western Bay. Inurnment in the United Cemetery, Western Bay North.  In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to the North Shore Central Ambulance Fund, PO Box 159, Broad Cove, NL, A0A 1L0 or to a charity of one's choice.
