Obituary of Ronald Burton
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ronald Burton on Friday, September 13, 2019 at Private Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion, Carbonear after a difficult battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Predeceased by his parents: Ron and Hazel; parents-in-law: Tom and Ann Traverse; friend and uncle: Paul. Leaving to mourn, his loving wife: Carol; children: Nichole (Jamie) and Nancy (Alex); granddaughter: Violet; brothers: Randy (Lorraine) and Don; sisters: Kim (Pat) Duplain and Wanda (Mike) Hennessey; sisters-in-law: Maureen (Dave, deceased) Noftle, Alice (Mike) LeGrow, and Regina (Carl) LeGrow; brothers-in-law: Tom (Elaine) Traverse and Aiden (Elsie, deceased) Traverse, also nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and a large circle of friends. A special thank you to the staff at long term care, Carbonear; who, over the past two years have become our family; especially the staff of 4 North, who helped us through the last few days. The family will receive relatives and friends at Noel's Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace on Tuesday, 7:30 to 9:00 p.m.; Wednesday, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass to take place on Thursday, September 19 at 1:00 p.m. from St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Kingston. Inurnment in St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Kingston. As an expression of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society, 835 Topsail Road, Unit 107, Mount Pearl, NL, A1N 3J6.
