Obituary of Bill Nichols

Passed peacefully away at the Lion's Manor, Placentia  on Monday, September 23, 2019, Bill Nichols of Harbour Grace, age 89 years. Predeceased by: three daughters: Debbie, Sandra, and Dianne; parents: William and Jessie; sisters: Ruth (Harvey) Russell and Gladys (Mose) Sheppard; parents-in-law: Carman and Sadie Mullett; sister-in-law: Lottie Tarrant. Leaving to mourn, his wife of 64 years: Sarah; three sons: Bill Jr. (Fran), Truro, NS, Eric (Clarice), and Glenn, both of Harbour Grace; five grandchildren: Jamie (Stephanie), Crystal, Billy Jr. (Cindy), Sheldon (Sara), and Brad (Jenna); ten great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law: Betty (Maurice, deceased) Mullett and Susan (George, deceased) Hutchings; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Following cremation, visitation will take place at Noel's Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace on Thursday, 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. There will be no funeral service. Inurnment to take place in St. Paul's Anglican Cemetery, Harbour Grace. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Bill Nichols Memorial Fund, c/o Noel’s Funeral Home, 106 Water Street, Carbonear, NL, A0A 2M0.
