Obituary of Joan Parsons

Passed suddenly away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Sunday, October 13, 2019, Joan Parsons of Carbonear, age 82 years. Predeceased by grandson: Zach; parents: Frank and Leah Saunders; sister: Marie; brothers: Ralph and James; sisters-in-law: Mary and Joan. Leaving to mourn, husband: Reg; two daughters: Janice (Bill) Rowe and Lynn (Wilbert) Thomas, both of Carbonear; five grandchildren: Shane (Linda), Lucas, and Andrea; Jaime (Ian) and Laura (Brandon) and their father: Tony (Amanda); great-grandson: Emerson Zachary; brother: Gordon (Sandra) Saunders, Carbonear; sister: Frances (Wayne) Hussey, Bay Roberts; sisters-in-law: Donna (Jim) White, Carbonear and Judy Squibb, St. John’s; brother-in-law: Kevin Gear, St. John’s; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Following cremation, visitation will take place at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Thursday, 10:30 to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service on Friday, October 18 at 2:00 p.m. from Bethany United Church, Carbonear. Inurnment to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to Epilepsy NL for the Zach Rowe Scholarship Fund, 351 Kenmount Road, St. John’s, NL, A1B 3P9.
