Obituary of Mabel L. Sparkes

Passed peacefully away at her residence with her loving husband and family by her side, on Monday, November 4, 2019, Mabel Sparkes of Lower Island Cove, age 76 years. Predeceased by parents: William John and Lillian Garland; parents-in-law: Harold and Carrie Sparkes; sisters-in-law: Ann Sparkes and Ethel (Fred) LeShane. Leaving to mourn, husband: Philip; two brothers: Fred (Geri, deceased) Garland and Gordon (Peggy) Garland; three sisters: Florence (Philip, deceased) LeShane, Myrtle (John) Clarke, and Jacqueline (Ike) Gilbert; sister-in-law: Naomi (Bob, deceased) Reid; also a large number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, a large circle of friends and special family friend: Alma.  Resting at the Salvation Army Citadel, Lower Island Cove on Tuesday, 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Wednesday, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Wednesday, November 6, at 2:00 p.m. from the Salvation Army Citadel, Lower Island Cove. Interment in the Salvation Army Cemetery, Lower Island Cove.  In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
