I distinctly remember her engaging smile, her warm hospitality and loving ways. She will always be remembered by us. God gave her to us for a little while and we have been privileged to call her Auntie. Sorry we could not be there but we will be thinking of all of you this day. I was so sorry to hear that Mrs. Turner has passed away. I have such wonderful memories of her. I visited her many times with my parents (Paddy and Isabelle Dawe)during partridgeberry picking season. It was something I looked forward to every fall. She was so generous and always made me feel at home. She made the best baked beans and blueberry upside down cake! She will be missed.... Lynn
To the Turner family, I would like to offer my deepest sympathy on the loss of your mother. She was a lovely, kind lady who will be greatly missed. I have many happy memories of visits to Lower Island Cove every year with my parents (Paddy and Isabelle Dawe), my sister, Lynn, and Mike and Mary Lawlor to pick partridgeberries. Your mom always made sure that we had a lunch before we went in the woods (her baked beans were the best).
