Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family in Carbonear on Tuesday, February 25, 2020, Phyllis Olga Lambert of Grates Cove, age 93 years. Predeceased by husband: John; parents: Harry and Jane Meadus; brothers: Charles, George, Llewellyn, Harry, Clarence, Obediah, and Dougald; sisters: Maude, Louise, and Suzannah; daughter-in-law: Maxine Smith. Leaving to mourn with cherished memories, daughter: Linda (Fred) Hicks, Paradise; two sons: Paul (Yvonne) Lambert, Carbonear and Lloyd Smith, Angus, ON; seven grandchildren: Peter (Heather), Nancy (Ben), Nicole (Shawn), Justin (Candice), Jillane, Lynee, and Shane (Andrea); ten great-grandchildren: Jadeyn, Avarie, Declan, Cailum, Rowan, Amiliya, Kennedy, Addison, Luke, and Mahalla; sister: Isabel Rowsell, Seal Cove; sisters-in-law: Minnie Winsor, Paradise, Joyce Noseworthy (Clarence), Bay Roberts, Olive Meadus, Ontario; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at St. Luke’s Anglican Church, Grates Cove on Wednesday, 2:00 to 9:00 p.m., Thursday, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to take place on Thursday, February 27 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Luke's Anglican Church and Cemetery, Grates Cove.
