Passed peacefully away at A.M. Guy Memorial Health Centre, Buchans on Sunday, April 12, 2020, John Edward Fitzgerald of Western Bay, age 85 years.
Predeceased by wife: Mary; parents: Thomas and Gertrude; brother: Patrick (Madeline); sisters: Mary (Harry) and Eileen (Stan).
Leaving to mourn, two daughters: Jackie (Blaise) Pinsent, Corner Brook and Charlene Fitzgerald (Rob Lane), Buchans; two grandchildren: Samantha and Andrew; brother-in-law: Howard (Mary) Hynes, Fortune Harbour; sisters-in-law: Jane (Tom) Hynes, Fortune Harbour, Loretta (Ronald) Cluney, Grand Falls-Windsor, and Rita Lyver, Buchans; also a large number of other relatives and friends.
Due to the current pandemic, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Interment for select immediate family members on Wednesday, April 15 at 2:00 p.m. from Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Cemetery, Western Bay.
As an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Cemetery c/o Corpus Christi Parish, P.O. Box 79, Northern Bay, NL, A0A 3B0.
