Passed away after a short illness at Pte. Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion, Carbonear on Monday, June 29, 2020, Harold Priddle of Victoria, age 97 years. Harold worked for the American Air Force on their bases in St. John’s, Goose Bay, and Greenland before being employed by Newfoundland Power as plant operator at Victoria Hydro Plant, a position he held until retirement. He was a former deputy mayor of Victoria and a long serving member of the Victoria Lions Club and the Royal Canadian Legion, Carbonear. Predeceased by wife: Beatrice (nee Evely); parents: John and Clara; step-father: Walter Vaters; brothers: Lionel and Herbert; sister: Florence Clarke. Leaving to mourn, one daughter: Deborah Priddle, ON; five sons: Graham (Rose Gullage), CBS, Harvey (Betty), Carbonear, Harold (Frances), Victoria, Eric (Claudette), NS, and Perry (Marion), Norris Point; twelve grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; brother: David (Glynis, deceased) Vaters, Victoria; sister: Ruth (Eric) Witcher, Lewisporte; also a large number of other relatives and friends. The family would like to acknowledge staff at Luxury Estates and the Pavilion, Carbonear for their care during his years there. Following government legislation due to the current pandemic, a private visitation will take place at Noel's Funeral Home, Carbonear, followed by a private funeral service from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Carbonear. Interment in Bethel Pentecostal Cemetery, Victoria. As an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to Crohn’s and Colitis Canada, P.O.
