To the Clarke Family.
We were sorry to hear of Daves passing.
I remember my few times meeting him over the last number of years. A man with a lot of character that you could easily take too. He was a pleasure to sit and talk with because of his mild manner. On behalf of the citizens, staff, council members and myself. I want to send our deepest condolences to you all. Keeping you in our prayers.

To Eva, David and Family,
Our condolences to the family on the passing of your loved one. A great man with a very sharp mind. When I did homecare for Lillian Clarke, I would take Lily to see Uncle Dave as she called him everyday. That would make her day and his day. He being 99 would tell us stories from days gone by and we would love to sit and listening to him. Living all his live in Victoria , he could tell you who your ancestors were. He would have been 100 come October. God Bless.

To The Families;Sending deepest sympathy on the passing of your loved one.Remember him from early boyhood days. He and Dad chatting when we took logs in to "Uncle Jimmy Stevenson" to be sawed. And more recently in conversations with Harold Priddle during visits to the Pike Pavilion as Harold mentioned that he, Mr, Clarke and my Aunt Jane (Slade) Cole were the three oldest citizens of Victoria last January. Another outstanding citizen of Victoria of my boyhood days passed on. May the good memories of him help you at this time.

Precious. Loving. Smiling. Storytelling. Soft. Warm. Kind. Grampy’s brother. Grampys friend. My Great Uncle. These are just a few words that come immediately to my mind when I think of Uncle Dave.
99 years young! What a beautiful life! God bless his sweet heart! I’m sure he was shown the way to heaven by so many loved ones; especially my Grampy- Des Clarke. Oh the stories that are now being told. I hope Eva, David and family that you find comfort there. May the memories, and pictures fill your hearts and wash away the sadness that I know grief brings. If I could be with the family right now, I would most certainly be there with you all. I will pray for you all, and I will forever hold Uncle Dave in my heart. He truly was one of the sweetest men to have ever lived on this earth. Hugs to you all xo Tania (Hendry) Fraize- Desmond and Jean Clarke’s eldest grandchild (Janice’s daughter)
