Obituary of Marg McCarthy

Passed peacefully away at the Pte. Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion, Carbonear on Sunday, August 23, 2020, Marg McCarthy of Harbour Grace South, age 88 years. Predeceased by parents: Charles and Mary Adams; sisters: Helen and Mame. Leaving to mourn, her husband of 69 years, Tom; two daughters: Pauline (Vince) Hunt and Cathy (Terry) Parsons, both of Harbour Grace; one son: Tommy (Agnes), Carbonear; six grandchildren: Alicia (Darrell), Shelly (Craig), Rebecca (Chad), Ryan (Bobby), Amanda (Darrell), and Nicole (Hayward); eight great-grandchildren: Haley, Megan, Hunter, Jack, Caleb, Max, Emma, and Amelia; one brother: Alf (Jean) Adams; five sisters: Beth Fewer, Madeline Hamilton, Eve Rees, Vonn Crann, and Meace (John) Murphy; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Special thanks to the staff of 2 south at the Pte. Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion, Carbonear for the love and care that they’ve shown to our mom over the last 3 years. Following government legislation due to the pandemic, a private visitation will take place at Noel's Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace, followed by Funeral Mass at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Riverhead, Harbour Grace, by invitation only. Cremation to follow. Interment at a later date in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Harbour Grace. As an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to the TCP Health Foundation, 86 Highroad South, Carbonear, NL, A1Y 1A4.
