Obituary of Wilfred Crocker

Please share a memory of Wilfred to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, St. John’s on Tuesday, August 25, 2020, Wilfred Crocker of Western Bay (Mount Pearl), age 73. Predeceased by his parents Carson and Lorraine, and brother Winston. Leaving to mourn his devoted wife of 51 years, Margaret (nee Maddigan); sons Barry (Nancy) and Andrew (Cindy); grandchildren Lindsay, Carson and Matthew; as well as a large circle of family and friends. Special acknowledgement to his cousin Garfield Crocker (Joan) of Belleville, ON. After a 25 year career with the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (including time directing traffic at the corner of Prescott and Duckworth Streets, and as a prosecutor with Provincial Traffic Court), Wilf continued to work as a Paralegal for another five years in Atlantic Place before fully retiring in 1998. He loved to spend time on his quad in Bradley's Cove, out on the water jigging a few cod, and always looked forward to moose hunting with his Western Bay buddies (especially the cook-ups). Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private visitation will take place at Noel’s Funeral Home, Western Bay, followed by funeral service at Noel’s Memorial Chapel, Western Bay by invitation only. Interment at the United Church Cemetery, Western Bay South.
