Passed peacefully away at Lane’s Retirement Home, Carbonear on Friday, September 11, 2020, Evelyn S. Penney of Carbonear, age 84 years.
Predeceased by husband: Malcolm; sons: Robert and Bramwell; parents: John S. and Margaret Clarke; brothers: Harold, Charles, and Earl; sisters: Elizabeth Thompson and Beatrice (Thomas) Hussey.
Leaving to mourn, three daughters: Gloria Penney, St. Thomas, ON, Renee (Oscar) Wareham, Carbonear, and Christine White, Stephenville; one son: Neville (Pansy), Carbonear; daughter-in-law: Madonna (Randy) Crane, Mt. Pearl; seven grandchildren: Amanda, Melissa, Stephen (Deanne), Matthew (Holly), Daniel, Justin and Jackson; four great-grandchildren: Rhea, Dylon Hayden, and Maddie; special niece: Nellie Burden; special nephew: Greg Hussey; also a large number of other relatives and friends.
Following government legislation due to the pandemic, a private visitation will take place at Noel's Funeral Home, Carbonear. To schedule a visit, please phone Neville at 596-2957. Funeral service at the Salvation Army Citadel, Carbonear by invitation only. Interment in the Salvation Army Cemetery, Carbonear.
As an expression of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to The Salvation Army Band, PO Box 137, Carbonear, NL, A1Y 1B6.
