Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital on Sunday, December 20, 2020, Dave ‘Blackie’ Rose of Harbour Grace, age 67 years. Predeceased by parents: Jack and Edith; brothers: Tom and Jerry. Leaving to mourn, wife: Bernice; one daughter: Valerie (Bill) Sheppard, Harbour Grace; one son: Chris (Karen), Stephenville Crossing; four grandchildren: Michael, Samantha, Blaire, and Katelin; three great-grandchildren: Ava, Avery, and Luke; three brothers: Jack (Christine) Rose, William (Donna) Rose, Phillip Rose, and Joe (Phyllis) Hunt, all of Harbour Grace; two sisters: Marg (John) Merrigan and Brenda Miller, both of Harbour Grace; sisters-in-law: Bridget and Stephanie; special friends: Val Perry and Linda Sheppard; best buddy: Wince Pretty; special fur baby: Molly; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private visitation will take place at Noel's Funeral Home, Harbour Grace, followed by funeral service at Full Gospel Pentecostal Tabernacle, Shearstown, by invitation only. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Dave Rose Memorial Fund, c/o Noel’s Funeral Homes, PO Box 1001, Harbour Grace, NL, A0A 2M0.
