Obituary of Jim Traverse

Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital on Monday, January 25, 2021, Jim Traverse of Gull Island, age 75 years.
Predeceased by parents: John and Catherine; sisters: Bride (Anthony) Merrigan, Anastasia (Richard) Slade, and Theresa (Tim) Fahey; brothers: Mike and David.
Leaving to mourn, loving wife of 53 years, Mary; one daughter: Cathy (Bill) Mullaly, St. John’s; two sons: David (Levina), Western Bay and Jamie (Shelley), Paradise; three grandchildren: Curtis, Owen, and Jenna; three brothers: Jack (Bride), Northern Bay, Phil (Margaret), Conception Bay South, and Bill, Kingston; sister-in-law: Bridget 'Bridge' Traverse, Ochre Pit Cove; co-workers at IDG, Quinlan Brothers, and all his fisherman friends, as well as a circle of other relatives and friends.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private visitation will take place at Noel's Funeral Home, Western Bay, followed by funeral mass on Thursday, January 28, 2021 from Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church, by invitation only. Interment in Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Cemetery, Northern Bay.
As an expression of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted.
