Obituary of Jessie M. Slade

Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital on Wednesday, February 17, 2021, Jessie M. Slade of Salmon Cove, age 85 years. Predeceased by husband: Eric; parents: William and Lilly Butt; brothers: Arthur (Clara), William (Elizabeth), and Warrick (Viola); sister: Elizabeth Parker. Leaving to mourn, one daughter: Jeannette (Jack) MacDonald, Niagara Falls, ON; five sons: Heber (Gianna), Brampton, ON, Gary (Norma), Western Bay, Edgar, Mulmur, ON, Rick (Ceanne), Orangeville, ON, and Scott (Bernice), Salmon Cove; six grandchildren: Justin (Adi), Melissa (Luke), Ashley (Evan), Alisha, Mackenzie, and Erica; one great-granddaughter: Juniper 'Juni'; one brother: Thomas (Phyllis) Butt, Paradise; one sister: Violet (Frank, deceased) Forward, Carbonear; sisters-in-law: Arlettie King and Bertha Parsons, both of St. John’s; residents and staff of Lane’s Retirement Living, Luxury Estates, Carbonear; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private committal service will be held Friday, February 19 at Riverside United Cemetery, Salmon Cove.
