Sincere condolences to all the family. I will miss my dear friend aka sista dearly. I adopted her as my seventh sister years ago when she said she wished for a sister. Anyone would be so lucky to have her for a sister. We worked at the RCMP for years and shared many special memories. Marilyn enjoyed travelling and we had some great times and laughs down south. We both enjoyed so many things from gardening to cats and many other things. Missing you already dear friend. May you Rest In Peace.

Marilyn loved her Garden and so she should, it is beautiful ! She was a Member of The Country Garden Club and was a good friend to all the Club Members. She loved the Clubs summer Garden Visits and our 'cup of tea' afterwards and always had a chat, a laugh and a smile. For many years Marilyn prepared our Club's Monthly News Letter and it was a treat to read it as soon as she had published it for us, cause we knew there would be cute stories, beautiful photos and yummy recipes in it ! She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. She was a gentle & sweet lady and very easy to like. Rest in peace Marilyn.

We are so sorry on the passing of your Mom. Mom was a lovely lady and as you know, an avid Gardener! This is how we know your Mom, she joined The Country Garden Club years ago and was a friend with us all. We had many talks & laughs during our Meetings but, so many more at our social functions & garden visits or just at parties we held. She will be missed so much. Our Condolences to all of you.

I was so incredibly sad to hear that your wonderful mother passed away. I have so many beautiful memories of her from spending time at your house growing up. I love the friendship that your mom had with our mom for over forty years. Desray Crescent has certainly lost one of its finest. Kara and I watched the funeral this afternoon, and you did a fantastic job paying tribute to an incredible woman. Thinking of you all at this impossibly difficult time with deepest sympathy.

Marilyn and I first met in mid 1960’s thru work and then being room mates in St. John’s while we were starting our careers. We were all single....over the past 50 plus years we married, had kids, had grandkids... Liz, Goldie, Marilyn and I had this wonderful reunion in Terra Nova park in a cabin about 20 years ago. I came home from the Yukon for this reunion. What a time! Another trip was to Cape St Mary’s with Marilyn, Enid and Cyril for a year end concert and a theatre performance in a tiny town near St. Brides. So many great memories. It was with profound shock I heard of the news of her passing yesterday. We kept in touch as much as we could over the years. I loved the pictures of her four girls... always trying to figure out who was older in the group pictures as they grew up and for me ...who was away... to tell who was who ... Marilyn produced four beautiful girls. I will miss you my friend, peace be with you. Love to your family. Sincerely, Betty Sutton, Whitehorse, Yukon.. aka Betty Janes from Clarenville originally.

To Laura, Jan, Karla and Kristen and your families.
I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your mother. Marilyn and I worked together for many years at the CPIC office at RCMP HQ.. I remember her laughter, her jokes, and her fun personality. She was so professional in her work and in making sure the work was done well. She was a friend to every other employee in the building and known by all. Her laughter was infectious.
While our thoughts and prayers are with you all, we may not be able to attend the visitation or funeral because both of us have medical issues at this time. You can be sure we will be thinking of Marilyn and each of you during these times.
God bless you all

Her smile. Much more than the acceptance she unwaveringly showed me, was the smile she perpetualy gave which authenticated her love. To me, to her friends, to her family - it was a signature, outward expression of the size of her heart. It was pure beauty and will endure in every cherished photo.
