Passed peacefully away at the Pte. Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion, Carbonear on Friday, April 9, 2021, Ethel Burton of Harbour Grace, age 95 years.
Predeceased by husband: E. Freeman; sister: Myrtle (John) Anderson; brother: John 'Jack' (Iris) Dicks.
Leaving to mourn, one daughter: Yvonne (Rod) Sheppard, Harbour Grace; two sons: Harold, Logy Bay and John (Annette), Salmon Cove; six grandchildren: Jennifer (Todd), John (Denise), Luke, Zack, Ryan, and Tyler (Ashley); 4 great-grandchildren: Mya, Madison, Sophie, and Peyton; one brother: James (Marie) Dicks, Harbour Grace; sister-in-law: Evelyn Dicks, St. John's; brother-in-law: Donald (Pearl) Burton, Fortune; also a large number of other relatives and friends.
We would like to thank the staff at the Pte. Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion, especially those on 2 south for their care.
Visitation to take place on Sunday, April 11 from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Noel's Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace.
A private family interment will take place in St. Paul's Anglican Cemetery, Harbour Grace.
In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to the Children's Wish Foundation, 31 Peet Street, St. John’s, NL, A1B 3W8 or online at makeawish.ca.
