Obituary of Frederick Slade

Passed peacefully away in the arms of his loving wife and surrounded by his loving family at Carbonear General Hospital on Saturday, November 6, Frederick Dennis Slade of Salmon Cove, age 69 years. Predeceased by parents: Albert J. and Mildred H. Slade; brothers: Nathan and Chesley; parents-in-law: Reuben and Minnie Wareham. Leaving to mourn his wife of 47 years, Maryann 'Annie'; three daughters: Johanna (Cory Galway), Harbour Grace, Anna (Kevin) Penney, and Kelly (Kenneth) Sommers, both of Salmon Cove; four grandchildren: Mackenzie, Brady (Rebecca), Deevon, and Natalia; one brother: Hartley (Marion), Salmon Cove; nephew: Rendell (Denise); niece: Erin (Vince) Quinton; two great-nephews: Jacob and Benjamin; brothers-in-law: Gerald (Shirley) Wareham, Carbonear, George (Glenda) Wareham, Green’s Harbour, and Oscar (Renee) Wareham, Carbonear; sisters-in-law: Edith (David) Dean, Regina, SK, Elsie (Randy) Dawe, Brampton, ON, Bev (Dan) Morgan, Carbonear, and Ruby (Darren) Clarke, Victoria; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Visitation at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Monday, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., and Tuesday, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral service, by invitation only, on Tuesday, November 9 at 2:00 p.m. from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Carbonear. Cremation to follow. Proof of vaccination will be required for visitation and funeral service. A private interment in Riverside United Cemetery, Salmon Cove. *****
