Obituary of Joseph Thistle

Passed peacefully away in the presence of loving family at Carbonear General Hospital on Friday, November 12, 2021, Joseph P. ‘Joey’ Thistle of Harbour Grace, age 61 years. Predeceased by parents: John Will and Alice Thistle; mother: Alice Reynolds; brother: John. Leaving to mourn, two daughters: Michelle (Randell) and Nakita (Chris), both of Harbour Grace; one son: Bradley (Emilie), Fort McMurray, AB, and their mother: Charmaine, Harbour Grace; two grandchildren: Zachary and Jayden; two brothers: Frank (Marg), Riverhead, Harbour Grace and Pat (Wendy), Gander; three sisters: Ann, Riverhead, Harbour Grace, Gert (Gene), Tucson, AZ, and Clare (Ernie), St. John’s; also a large number of other relatives and friends. A special thank you to the nurses and staff at the Dialysis Unit, Carbonear General Hospital, who took exceptional care of our dad over the last eight years. Also to Dr. Howse, for her compassion and care during dad’s final days. Visitation at Noel's Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace on Sunday, November 14 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service, by invitation only, on Monday, November 15 at 10:30 a.m. from Noel's Funeral Home, Harbour Grace. Cremation to follow. Private interment to be held in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Harbour Grace.
