Obituary of Leslie 'Les' Slade

Passed peacefully away after a brief illness, and with his loving family by his side at Dr. Leonard A. Miller Centre, St. John's on Saturday, February 26, Leslie 'Les' Slade of Salmon Cove, age 69 years. Predeceased by parents: Roy and Mildred; sisters: Sharon Slade, Peggy Gear, Jackie Chubbs, and Miranda Slade; brother: Wade; special niece: Lisa Chubbs; father-in-law: John Edgar Swain. Leaving to mourn, wife: Linda; daughter: Chantelle, Salmon Cove; son: Michael, White Rock, BC; sister: Renee (Wayne) Kelloway, Salmon Cove; mother-in-law: Evelyn Swain, Perry's Cove; brothers-in-law: Richard Gear, Mount Pearl, Calvin Chubbs, Salmon Cove, and Wesley (Jennifer) Swain, Perry’s Cove; sisters-in-law: Tina Murphy, Harbour Grace, Wanda (Byron) Clarke, Victoria, and Tanya (Scott) Antle, Edmonton, AB; also a large number of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place. Visitation at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Wednesday, Mar. 2 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Thursday, Mar. 3 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral service on Thursday, March 3 at 2:00 p.m. from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Carbonear.
