Obituary of Edith Viola Butt

Born in Broad Cove, Conception Bay North on the 23rd day of September 1926 and passed away peacefully at G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Sunday, the 27th day of February 2022. Predeceased by her husband Harry Butt, October 2012; parents, Elijah and Mabel King; brothers, William, Chesley, Albert, George, and Richard; sisters, Flora, Mildred, and Janie. At the age of 95 years, and retired from teaching for many years, she never lost her interest to learn and keep in touch with everyone on her iPad. Lovingly remembered by her children, Betty Evans (Stan) and Spencer Butt (Jacqueline); grandchildren, Paul Evans (Carla), Suzanne Ryan (Kerry), Kenny Butt, and Brittany Green (Brad); great-grandchildren, Jenna Evans, Sarah Evans, Evan Ryan, Katelin Ryan, Harper Lilly Green, and Harrison Green. Also leaving to mourn a large circle of family and friends, including lifelong friend, Sadie Thistle and niece, Shirley Young who was always in touch and available. Cremation has taken place. Funeral service to take place on Sunday, August 20 at 2:00 p.m. from Bethany United Church, Swift Current. Followed by Service of Committal in the United Cemetery, Swift Current.
