It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Gerry in the presence of his loving wife at his home on Friday, March 11, at the age of 58 years. Predeceased by parents: Gerard and Sadie; brother: Gregory; two infant siblings; father-in-law: Andrew Woodfine; sister-in-law: Bernadine (Austin) Power. Leaving to mourn, wife: Patricia; two daughters: Colleen (Des) Ryan, Ontario and Jodie-Lynn (Jason) Hopkins, Brownsdale; two grandsons: Logan and Hudson; three brothers: Joe (Linda), Randy (Donine), both of Carbonear, and Sam, Cambridge, ON; three sisters: Mary Short, Edmonton, AB, Lucille (Bob) White, Harbour Grace, and Charmaine (Tim) O'Leary, Kitchener, ON; mother-in-law: Josephine Woodfine, St. John’s; brothers-in-law: Felix (Bonnie) Woodfine, Victoria, BC and Ron (Peggy) Woodfine, Torbay; sisters-in-law: Joanne Woodfine, Paradise and Margaret (Steve) Delaney, Mount Pearl; special friend: Benedict Hurley, Kingston; also a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation at Noel's Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay on Monday, March 14 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Tuesday, March 15 at 2:30 p.m. from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Western Bay. The family respectfully ask for masks to be worn during the visitation and funeral service. A celebration of life gathering to be held at Salem Community Centre, Small Point following the service from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, 1037 Topsail Rd, Mount Pearl, NL, A1N 5E9, online at heartandstroke.ca or North Shore Central Ambulance, P.O.
