Passed peacefully away at Pte. Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion, Carbonear on Sunday, May 29, 2022, Lydia Hiscock of Victoria, age 94 years. Predeceased by husband: Joshua; son: Jerry; sons-in-law: Lloyd Evely, Jeff Simmons, and Jack Clarke; grandchildren: Joel and Jonathan Evely, Jonathan Hiscock, and Jackie Clarke; parents: Arthur and Sadie Dearing; brother: Arthur Dearing; sister: Martha (George) Baldwin. Leaving to mourn, four daughters: Rosalind Clarke and Lavinia Evely, both of Victoria, Patsy Simmons, Waterloo, ON, and Joslyn Hiscock (Denise), Vancouver, BC; three sons: Daniel (Louella), Mount Pearl, Tony (Janice), Upper Island Cove, and Todd (Alina), Calgary, AB; daughter-in-law: Gloria Hiscock; eighteen grandchildren, twenty-nine great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law: Effie Dearing, Victoria; special friends: Lily Thomey and Addie King, Luxury Estates, Carbonear; also a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Visitation at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Wednesday, June 1 from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m., Thursday, June 2 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Friday, June 3 at 2:00 p.m. from Bethel Pentecostal Church, Victoria. Interment in Bethel Pentecostal Cemetery, Victoria. As an expression of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted.
