Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's on Sunday, June 26, 2022, William H. Slade of Broad Cove, age 74 years. Predeceased by parents: John and Elexey Slade; parents-in-law: Reuben and Hilda Flight; infant brother: Barry; brother: Sterling; sisters: Florence Trickett and Phyllis Slade; brother-in-law: Douglas Parsons. Leaving to mourn, wife: Carol Ann of 50 years; daughter: Tracy (Jody) Clarke, Small Point; son: Stephen (Kelly), Chamberlains; grandchildren: Brandon (Haley), Kaitlyn (Christian), Payton, and Spencer, whom he adored; five brothers: Harold (Laura) and Walter (Wanda), both of Salmon Cove, Ralph and John (Stephanie), both of Victoria, and Matthew (Dorothy), Broad Cove; two sisters: Harriet Parsons, Carbonear and Doreen (Scott) Noel, Freshwater, Carbonear; brother-in-law: Fred ‘June’ Trickett, Perry’s Cove; sister-in-law: Bertha Slade, Salmon Cove; a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Visitation at Noel's Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay on Wednesday, June 29 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Thursday, June 30 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral service on Thursday, June 30 at 2:00 p.m. from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Western Bay.
