Obituary of Drucella Penney

Passed peacefully away in the presence of her daughter and son-in-law on Sunday, August 7th at St. John's, Drucella Penney, formerly of Salmon Cove, age 97 years. Predeceased by husband: Mark; parents: Mary Jane and Ernest Slade; two brothers: Garfield and Max; daughter-in-law: Ruth Penney. Leaving to mourn, two sons: Harold, Georgetown, ON and Clyde (Valerie O'Leary), PEI; daughter: Shirley (Ivan) Welland, ON; six grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law: Adeline Slade; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Special thanks to homecare worker, Christine Oates who cared for her for four years. Visitation at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Thursday, August 11 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Friday, August 12 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Friday, August 12 at 2:00 p.m. from Riverside United Church, Salmon Cove. Interment in Riverside United Cemetery, Salmon Cove.
