Passed suddenly away at Carbonear General Hospital on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, Amelia Slade of Salmon Cove, age 63 years. Predeceased by baby daughter: Trudy; parents: Morris and Gladys Corcoran; parents-in-law: Art and Betty Slade; sister: Irene (Mike) Stafford; brother: Rick (Heather); brothers-in-law: Richard, Frank, and Reg; step-sister-in-law: Ann Marie. Leaving to mourn, husband: Carter; two daughters: Vanessa (Vernon) Layden, Job’s Cove and Melissa Slade (Chris), Carbonear; son: Carson (Cynthia), AB; five grandchildren: Alex (Aaron), Lucas (Alysha), Mackenzie (Brandon), Amber (Coady), and Jessie; two great-grandchildren: Tucker and Lindsey; two brothers: Fabian (Heather) Corcoran, ON and Doug (Florence) Corcoran, Salmon Cove; three sisters: Barb Malloy, St. John’s, Lucy (Ron) Domenchuk, ON, and Clarice Foley, St. Mary’s Bay; sisters-in-law: Linda (Jim), Andrea (Craig), and Alvina (Elvis); brothers-in-law: David (Barb), Winston (Florence), Rex (Ada), and Allan (Claudia); also a large number of other relatives and friends. Visitation at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Thursday, October 13 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Friday, October 14 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Friday, October 14 at 2:00 p.m. from Riverside United Church, Salmon Cove. Interment in the United Cemetery, Perry’s Cove.
