Passed peacefully away at Pte. Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion, Carbonear on Thursday, January 26, 2023, Joyce M. Slade of Victoria, age 92 years. Predeceased by husband: John R.; parents: Selby and Madeline Manuel; brother-in-law: Ted Robbins. Leaving to mourn, three daughters: Gayle (Ray) Case, Victoria, Kimberley (Bob) Cascagnette, Everett, ON and Charli J., Lower Island Cove; son: Kevin (Ruth), Gander; eight grandchildren; Robert (Sherry), Steven (Margaret), Darren, George (Michelle), Charmaine (Derek), Craig (Michelle), Natasha (Kyle), and Jonathan; thirteen great-grandchildren; Matthew, Nicholas, Ryan, Robin, Meghan, Shalyn (Jordon), Courtney (Ryan), Steven (Claire), Michaela (Brandon), Megan, Joshua, Brooklynn, and Kayde; great-great-granddaughter: Sadie; two sisters: Bernice (Bob) Herod, Stoneycreek, ON and Kay Robbins, Vancouver, BC; special sister-in-law: Ella Hiscock; also a large number of other relatives, and friends. Visitation at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Friday, January 27 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Saturday, January 28 from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Saturday, January 28 at 2:00 p.m. from the United Church, Victoria. Interment in the United Cemetery, Victoria.
