Obituary of Joseph 'Joe' Swain

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Joseph ‘Joe’ Swain of Perry’s Cove announce his sudden passing on Sunday, February 5, 2023 at the age of 57. Predeceased by parents: Earl and Drucella Swain, brother: John Edgar, sister-in-law: Jeanette. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, wife of 33 years, Valetta; son: Matthew (Christina); daughter: Kayla; furry grandbabies: Piper and Simba; sisters: Rosalind (Andrew) Butt, Maxine (Bill) Peckham, Mildred Swain, Diane (Harold) Peach, Jeannie (Keith) Penney, and Janie (Dermott) O’Leary; brother: Melvin (Nellie); parents-in-law: Harvey and Elvia King; sister-in-law: Evelyn Swain (Junior); brother-in-law: Jim (Jennifer) King; also a large circle of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, extended family, neighbours, and friends, who loved him dearly. Visitation at Noel’s Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Wednesday, February 8 from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Thursday, February 9 at 2:00 p.m. from Riverside United Church, Salmon Cove.
