Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, Gertie King of Perry's Cove, age 67 years. Predeceased by parents: Alex and Gertie Cole; sisters: Marie (Lloyd) Priddle and Jeanette Swain; brother: Alex Cole. Leaving to mourn, husband: Walter; daughter: Tina (Edward) O'Brien and grandson Cole, Perry’s Cove; son Robert and grandchildren Kody and Avah, Ontario; brother: Jim (Victoria) Cole, Alberta; two sisters: Ivy (Lloyd) Clarke, Carbonear and Shirley (Roy) Parsons, Victoria; brother-in-law: Melvin Swain, Perry’s Cove; sister-in-law: Sylvia Cole, St. John’s; special family: Sheena, Travis and granddaughter Gracie; also a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Visitation at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Friday, February 17 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Saturday, February 18 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Water Street, Carbonear. Private burial to take place at a later date.
