Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family on Friday, April 14, 2023, John 'Merv' Tobin of Western Bay, age 77 years.
Predeceased by mother: Clarice; father: Michael; son: grant; brothers-in-law: Junior Loveys and Barry Loveys.
Leaving to mourn, wife of 57 years Marion; daughter: Darlene (Norman) Jenkins, Western Bay; son: Austin, Western Bay; grandchildren: Brady (Olivia) and Haley; brothers-in-law: Winslow (Gen) Loveys, Carbonear and Wade Loveys, Ochre Pit Cove; sister-in-law; Jean Loveys, Small Point; fur babies: Daisy and Bella; also a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation downstairs at McDowell United Church, Western Bay on Sunday, April 16 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to Baccalieu Trail SPCA, P.O Box 273, Carbonear, NL, A1Y 1B7 or Kidney Foundation NL, P.O Box 13381, St. John’s, NL, A1B 4B7
