COLBOURNE, Ruth E. - Passed peacefully away at the Interfaith Citizen's Home, Carbonear on Thursday, April 4, 2013, Ruth E. Colbourne of Carbonear, age 90 years. Predeceased by husband: Arthur; son: Wayne; infant daughter: Ena June; brothers: Frank, Frederick, Raymond and Warren; sisters: Jean Miller Smith and Lucy Greening. Leaving to mourn, eight children: Fred (Florence), Harbour Grace, Betty (Raymond) Robertson and Bill (Lydia), both of Palm Bay, FL, Harold (Cathy), Winterton, Diane (John) Galway, Raymond, Roland and Glenn (Lisa), all of Carbonear; sixteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; brother: Morley (Madge) Berkshire, Clarenville; sisters: Evelyn Byrne, New Hampshire, USA and Olive (Baden) Powell, George's Brook; sister-in-law: Evelyn Berkshire, Cold Lake, AB; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Thursday from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m.; Friday from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to take place on Saturday, April 6 at 2:00 p.m. from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Carbonear. Cremation to follow. A private family inurnment will be held in St. James Anglican Cemetery, Carbonear. As an expression of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to the Ronald McDonald House, St. John's.
