My heartfelt condolences go out to all of her beautiful family & many friends. As a child I spent many vacations in Salmon Cove with my family. Aunt Eliza married my mother’s brother. I have fond memories of spending time at their house. May you all find peace during this difficult time as you heal with wonderful memories of a beautiful, kind & loving lady. To the Slade/Kelloway family: I was saddened to hear of Eliza's passing. I have fond memories of her from an early age. Dad and Ches were good friends. It was Ches who taught Dad how to drive. I can remember her coming to mom's shop when I was just a young girl. She was a wonderful person who devoted a lot of time to her church. It was her who got me involved with the Sunday School many years ago. We spent a lot of time together fundraising for the Sunday School, delivering Sears catalogues, among other things. She took part in everything that was going on in the church and held many positions on the church boards. I will always cherish the memories I have of her. I hope your memories will give you comfort in the days ahead. Out thoughts and prayers are with you all. Marilyn and Wayne Homer

To: The Slade Family We were saddened today to hear the news of Eliza’s passing. Just a couple of days ago we were looking at a picture of her cutting an anniversary cake at Riverside with Jim Parsons! We have wonderful memories of her during our time on the Salmon Cove Pastoral Charge - especially her time in the choir and with the UCW. Strangely enough, Arlene, her table mate at many UCW Bake Sales, went ahead of her just a short while ago. Eliza lived a full and wonderful life and you folks have a lot to celebrate. I still remember her mom and the care she gave her at Harbour Lodge. It was our pleasure to have known the strong women of your family. To the Family of Eliza, please accept our sincere condolences on her passing. My Mom, Susie (Slade) Milley, originally from Salmon Cove, is also a resident of Agnes Pratt. I had many, many little chats with Eliza during her time at Agnes Pratt. She was the sweetest, kind hearted woman. I will never forget when she came there, Penney took Mom and said “I’m gonna park her here next to her cousin”. Elisa would always try to explain to me the relationship….I hope I never have to tell anyone cause right now I have no idea. If both of them were ever in dining room or at a rec event we always sat them together. While visiting Mom the other day I knew there was someone in palliative care, Moms room is across the hall, I wish I had known it was her. I will miss seeing her at the home and our little chats. Again our deepest Condolences.
