Obituary of Cynthia Butt

Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, Cynthia Marie Butt of Harbour Grace, age 63 years. Predeceased by mother: Mary K. Murphy; aunt: Pearl Murphy who was like a second mother; father: Robert Jerrett. Leaving to mourn, husband: Marcus C; brother: William Keaveney, N.Y City, USA; two sisters: Valerie T. Murphy (Michael Garnier), Harbour Grace and Beverley Sigurjonsson (Jens - deceased), St. John’s; nephews: William Joseph Murphy and Collin Harvey, both of P.E.I, Shane Pretty, Botwood, and Christopher Jerrett, St. John’s; niece: Connie Murphy, Riverhead, Harbour Grace; long-time friend and support worker: Pearl (Stephen) McIntyre; long-time friend: Bernice Noseworthy; also a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Special thanks to the staff of the Palliative Care Unit, Carbonear General Hospital and the At Home Palliative Care Program for their excellent care, helpfulness and compassion. Also, thank you to public health worker Melissa Drover and Dr. Megan Hayes. Visitation at Noel's Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace on Friday, August 18 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Saturday, August 19 at 9:00 a.m. from Noel's Funeral Home, Harbour Grace. Interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Harbour Grace.
