To Mary’s family: So very sorry to hear of Mary’s sudden passing. I was a very good friend of hers during our high school years. After graduation, we kind of lost contact as Mary moved to Labrador which took us on separate paths. Mary was a very nice person and loved a good laugh. I will remember her fondly. The loss of my Gran is very painful and hard to process. From being little and having I 1 you till I 8(ate) you all up goodbyes, and now calling her everyday and receiving her morning texts of inspiration telling me that I got this. These past two years my Gran has been my rock, I’ve struggled with mental health and she was a big part in me still being here and I still need her. Now I have to succeed and make her proud so she can she that I did it and that I’ll be okay. I keep reminding myself that she wouldn’t have left unless she knew I could do this, I know she’s resting now and will watch and support me from above. Gran I love you. -Darcey

This unexpected news of Mary’s passing has hit our family hard. Know that Mary (Gran) as the kids referred to her touched all our lives and will be greatly missed. I can hear her shouting “Davis Murphy” go to Freshwater out of it..! Kieran wanted to tell his Gran that he cherished his blankie and her fixing it makes his heart feel good. The girls wanted to mention that Gran will be remembered as waving on the deck.
