PENNEY, Donald M. - Passed peacefully away at the Harbour Lodge Nursing Home, Carbonear on Wednesday, April 10, 2013, Donald M. Penney of Victoria, age 82 years. Predeceased by wife: Maureen; grandson: Christopher; brothers: Doug, Bill and Les; sister: Jessie Chetwynde. Leaving to mourn, two daughters: Lynette Bickford, Winnipeg, MB and Debbie (Ray) Marshall, St. John's; five sons: Boyd, Don, Tony, all of Victoria, Robert (Sharon), Salmon Cove and Barry (Maureen), St. John's; seven grandchildren: Angelina, Ian, Gary, Barry, Victoria, Cassandra and Zachary; one great-grandson: Dustin; two brothers: Boyd (Cora) and Ron, both of St. John's; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Thursday, April 11 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to take place on Friday, April 12 at 2:00 p.m. from the United Church, Victoria. Interment in the United Church Cemetery, Victoria. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
