I have very fond memories of staying with Aunt Lil and Uncle Leslie in my teenage years and also staying with them when I worked with Uncle Leslie at which time Aunt Lil was really good to me. I am so glad I got to have some visits with her before she passed. May she Rest In Peace. Boyd

My sincere Condolences to the family of Lillian. My memories are those of her with her dear mother Anne. Living in Clarkes Beach, I talked to her mother I chatted with them when Lily would take her elderly mother to the Avalon mall. I sat with Lillian when her mother was in the funeral home. My 15 minutes of fame was made possible by Mrs Collis and Alastair.He showed me a guitar and amplifier in their showroom and she,God love her, gave it to me on installments .Very very low payments, me being a poor young guy but with dreams of making the Big time.I played at the LSPU Hall with a few friends one Friday night.Andy Jones was on the door ,admission was 50 cents and your could by Pepsi and a bag of chips and all proceeds went to the Hall.It was amazing and the Peavy Amp made me a star because It could make 3 chords swirl and soar. Thankyou Lillian,Ive never forgotten you. May God bless you and Alastair and Heaven is surley and truly a finer place with you there.

The passing of Lil Collis marks the end of a generation in our family. She was a wealth of knowledge and a true entrepreneur as was evidenced in the family business A.L. Collis. She lived for 101years with very little illness and remained in her home up until a few days before her passing. Our condolences to her Granddaughters who I’m sure have many memories of time spent with her. May she rest in peace.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Mrs. Lil Collis. My parents, George & Joan (Bursey) Marshall were great friends with her and Mr. Les Collis, and loved to stand around the piano & sing , at their home and at ours, while Les played so beautifully. I have many fond memories of our families being together in the 1960s & 1970s. Sincere condolences to all, Jill Marshall St John's

Anna and Laura: So sorry of hear of the passing of you grandmother. I met her many years ago during my times at your show room for organs/pianos. Your father(a dear friend over the years) sold us our first Hammond organ and later a piano which we still use in our home. I was most welcomed to try many of the instruments on displaye and your father was always up for a good laugh. My deepest condolences . Mel Earle St Johns mel_earle@yahoo.ca

To The Collis Family: I meet Mr. and Mrs. Collis when I worked at The Bank of Nova Scotia, going back to the early 1970's. They were such friendly people and very accommodating. Conditional Sales Contracts were available at that time and I had the pleasure of dealing with Mrs. Collis when contracts required approving. She was a very uplifting person, always with a smile and so full of life. During my many visits to the showroom, I would be entertained with music. Mr. Collis and Alastair were gifted musicians. Mrs. Collis was a part of my life growing up and until my last visit with my Mom in the spring. She was an amazing, wonderful woman always interested in my life and the conversations we had will always be remembered. She will be missed but has left many memories behind.
