Obituary of Harriet Parsons

Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital on Sunday, September 17, Harriet Parsons of Salmon Cove, age 71 years. Predeceased by husband: Douglas; infant sons: Albert and Doug; parents: Jack and Elexey Slade; sisters: Florence and Phyllis; brothers: Sterling, Barry, and Will; parents-in-law: Jim and Mabel Parsons. Leaving to mourn, daughter: Tina (Eddie) Hefford; grandchildren: Kurklyn and Kaitlin; sister: Doreen (Scott) Noel; brothers: Harold (Laura), Ralph, Matt (Dorothy), Walt (Wanda), John (Stephanie); sisters-in-law: Carolann and Bertha; brother-in-law: Junior; large number of in-laws of the Parsons family; special friend: Mike Fahey; also a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A special thank you to staff at Lane’s Retirement Living where she resided, who became a part of her family. Visitation at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Tuesday, September 19 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday, September 20 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Wednesday, September 20 at 2:00 p.m. from Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear. Interment in Riverside United Cemetery, Salmon Cove. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to the Harriet Parsons Memorial Fund, c/o Noel’s Funeral Home.
