Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital on Thursday, October 12, Shirley ‘Brenda’ Curran of Carbonear, age 74 years.
Predeceased by husband: Dominic; parents: Howard and Martha Dwyer; step-granddaughter: Deshawna McKay; brother: Howard; sisters: Loretta Brent and Mary Ellen Gear.
Leaving to mourn, daughter: Kelly (Scott) Kippenhuck; sons: Dominic (Ann) and Howard (Lisa); six grandchildren: Joshua, Marcus, Mackenzie, Jacob, Lucas, and Jeremy; sisters: Rita Gear, Dorothy Murray, Denise (Max) Harris, Ann Macdonald, and Gertie Coates; also a large number of other relatives and friends.
Visitation at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Monday, October 16 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Funeral service to take place on Tuesday, October 17 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, Carbonear.
Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Carbonear.
Reception to follow at Royal Canadian Legion, Carbonear.
In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to Ronald McDonald House, 150 Clinch Crescent, St. John’s, NL A1B 1X0.
