Passed peacefully away at Pte. Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion, Carbonear on Monday, December 25, 2023, Leo Hogan of Northern Bay, age 83 years. Predeceased by his beloved wife, Barb, on Boxing Day 2022; parents: Thomas and Catherine Hogan; brothers: Brendan and Paddy; sisters: Madeline and Margaret. Leaving to mourn, two daughters; Mary, Carbonear, and Leona (Chris), Calgary, AB; five grandchildren: Matthew (Autavia), Blackfalds, AB, Kit (Brenwyn), Robert, Brayden, and Alex, all of Calgary, AB; two great-grandchildren: Malachy and Hazel; sisters: Patricia (Bob) Wickham, Rose (Kevin) Murphy, Marie (Terry) Kennel and Catherine (Wade) Barrett; brother: Peter (Barb); sisters-in-law: Barb Hogan and Joan Hogan; brothers-in-law: Tom (Donna) Gibson and Jim (Mabel) Gibson; also a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A huge thank you to the staff of 4 North for your exceptional care and support. You are appreciated more than you will ever know. Cremation has taken place. Visitation at Noel's Funeral Home, Main Road, Western Bay on Friday, July 12 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Interment on Saturday, July 13 at 10:00 a.m. at Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Cemetery, Northern Bay. There will be a gathering at the Ronnie Johnson Center, Western Bay following the interment from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to Alzheimer's Society of NL, 835 Topsail Rd, Unit 107, Mount Pearl, NL, A1N 3J6.
