To Boyd, Norman, Valerie, Barbara and Lester .
We were saddened to hear of Mildred’s passing We spent four years in the Lower Island Cove Corps of which Mildred was a member. She was a very dependable part of the Corps. She never said no to anything she was asked to do.
Whenever the Church doors were opened she was there. It didn’t matter what the weather was like. She had a strong faith in Her God and her Church
I have many fond memories of Mildred . She always had a smile on her face.I could look down at her from the platform and she would look back with the biggest smile on her face..We had a Women’s group at the church called the Home League. We were on the same group. And of course there was always a cup of tea. She would always say to me , you don’t need to bring anything. I have made enough for you and me. Then there were the many cups of tea at her house Sunday nights after the Service.
To her Family she left a great example of what it meant to be a follower of Jesus She loved her Lord and looked forward to the day when she would go to heaven to meet her Lord .Only our Lord knows how many lives she touched.
Our prayers and thoughts are with all of the Family
God bless you Boyd Keep the good fight. One day you will be united again,
To all of her children. Follow your Mom’s example and one day you will all be united around the throne of God in Heaven. God bless you all

To Boyd and the Wheadon Family,
We want to express our deepest condolences on the passing of your wife and mom. I know her loss is difficult but we pray you will find strength and comfort in knowing she is with her Lord.
Thank you for sharing her with us and the Lower Island Cove Corps. We loved her and miss her; and look forward to meeting her again in Heaven.
We have so many beautiful memories of her from the 5 years we spent in Lower Island Cove. We so appreciated her as our Corps Sergeant Major (the best we ever had!) Our ministry and life was enriched because of her support. Her life and Christian witness was exemplary. She was an encourager, a great listener and a prayer warrior.
Mildred’s willingness to help out and help others was amazing. She definitely had the gift of hospitality and was such a good cook and baker.
Mildred was a faithful woman of God and we’re sure she heard Jesus say last Friday night, “Well done, good and faithful servant! …Come and share your Master’s happiness!”(Matthew 25:23)
Please be assured of our prayers.

Boyd, Norm, Val, Barb, Lester and the entire family. We were shocked and sadness to hear about Mildred’s sudden passing.A wonderful neighbour of over 40 years, whenever we saw her she stopped to have a chat or just wave. We know you are all devastated, and tearful ,but be there for each other ( that is what your Mom would want). There will be lots of rough days ahead, but I truly hope each time you are feeling down a wonderful memory of your Mom will come to you, and put the biggest smile on your face.
We are presently in Florida, we will be thinking of you all. Your Mom was a gentle , caring lady , may she fly high with the angels. Rest in peace my friend.

We were so sad to hear about Mildred’s passing. We have so many precious memories of Mildred. She was a woman full of the Holy Spirit and of great faith. As her corps officer for several years we were the recipients of her love and loyalty as we served along side her. To Boyd we send our love and prayers. We rejoice in her promotion to glory. May God bless and strengthen you in these days.

To the family of the Late Mildred Wheadon;
Please accept my deepest and heartfelt condolences on the passing of Mildred. I cherish the fond memories of growing up in the Corps and experiencing the true Christian love and encouragement that she showed so many. Mildred was a very dedicated Corps Sergeant-Major of the Lower Island Cove Corps for many years and served God and The Army faithfully. She embodied the words found in the Articles of War which state to share the good news of Jesus Christ, endeavouring to win others to Him.
As you navigate this difficult time, I pray you take comfort in the knowledge that she is absent from the body and present with her Lord and, has heard her master say, “well done good and faithful servant.”
She has laboured for the Lord and is now Promoted to Glory.
May the Peace of God cover you all. Please be assured of my prayerful support now and in the days to come.
