Obituary of Ruth McCarthy

Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family at Carbonear General Hospital on June 22, 2024, Ruth McCarthy of Harbour Grace, age 90 years. Predeceased by husband: Edward; parents: George and Violet Pike; grandson: Barry McCarthy; brothers: Gerald, Doug (Una), Art (Susie), Roy, George (Grace), and David; sisters: Mary (Duncan) Hunt, Joyce (Leo) Yetman; sister-in-law: Marie Pike. Leaving to mourn, daughter: Dianne (Kirk) Peach; three sons: James (Gloria), David (Joan), and Brian (Gloria); four grandchildren: Charles (Melanie), Kevin (Lindsey), Deanne (Tommy), and Kyle (Heather); eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two brothers: Lorne and Rendell (Mary); sister: Violet (William) Sheppard; special nephew: Victor McCarthy; sister-in-law: Marie Pike; also a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation at Noel's Funeral Home, Harbour Grace on Wednesday, June 26 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Thursday, June 27 at 2:00 p.m. from Noel's Funeral Home, Harbour Grace.
