Passed peacefully away at his residence, Low Point on Monday, October 7, 2024, Lawrence A. Sparkes of Low Point, age 88 years. Predeceased by parents: Eliab and Mary; brother: Warren (Elsie); sister: Marion. Leaving to mourn, his loving wife, his everything, of 35 years: Linda; stepsons: Tony (Ashley) Power and Scott Power (Renee Hartson); grandchildren: Rebecca, Nathan, Kara, Brady, Cody, and Logan; brothers: Arthur (Eileen) and Ephraim (Marina); sisters: Joyce (Rick) Hillier, Phyllis (Boyd-deceased) Skiffington, and Josie Sparkes; also a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation at the Salvation Army Citadel, Lower Island Cove on Thursday, October 10 from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m., Friday, October 11 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Friday, October 11, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. from the Salvation Army Citadel, Lower Island Cove. Interment in St. Anne's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Low Point.
